Show Up Before You Feel Ready

Motivation is unreliable. It shows up some mornings and skips others, and if you're waiting for it before you train, work, or pray, you'll wait most of your life away.

Discipline doesn't ask how you feel. It asks what you do anyway. That's not a punishment — it's a form of faith. Scripture puts it plainly: walk by faith, not by sight. You don't get to see the whole plan before you take the step. You take the step, and the plan reveals itself along the way.

Athletes understand this better than almost anyone. Nobody feels like running sprints in July heat. Nobody feels like the extra rep after a long shift. The ones who show up anyway aren't more talented — they're just more willing to move before they feel ready.

That's the standard behind DOBETTER. Not perfect motivation. Just consistent obedience to the next right thing, whether or not it feels good in the moment.

So today: don't wait to feel ready. Show up, do the work, and let the feeling catch up later. It always does.
